Ikazia Radiology Department achieves success with Divis

Bob Visser, Radiology Manager & Liesbeth Struik, Nursing Specialist.
Better information, greater understanding
Previously, when making an appointment, patients were given paper information about their examination and what they needed to do beforehand. For major procedures, such as MRI scans, for example, there were additional information booklets.
With the advent of Divis, this has changed. Bob Visser, Radiology manager, notes that patients now have a much better understanding of what to expect. "Animations are really a big help, especially with CT and MRI scans," he says. The visual elements in the Divis, such as animations and illustrations, make information understandable and clearly show what is going to happen.
Satisfied patients
This new way of providing information has led to increased patient satisfaction. A recent survey shows that the department now scores better than before the introduction of Divis. Patients come to their appointments better prepared and more confident, which improves their experience and makes the staff's job easier.

Efficiency and better conversations
The introduction of Divis has also saved a lot of time: "Patients come to their appointments better informed, making the conversations more focused and helpful. Doctors have to spend less time explaining standard procedures, leaving more time for specific patient questions. This makes the interaction between doctor and patient better."

Flexibility: responding quickly to changes
Another advantage of Divis is its flexibility. "If something changes, we can easily update it in the Divis," Visser says. As a result, patients always get the most up-to-date information.
Hybrid approach: accessible to all
Despite the focus on digitization, the department also continues to offer paper information. Visser explains: "There are also those who still like paper information, and by printing out the Divis, we can easily provide this." This ensures that all patients, regardless of their digital skills, can be properly informed.
Example of digital improvements in healthcare
The successful implementation of Divis in Ikazia's Radiology Department demonstrates how digital tools improve care. By combining digital information with traditional methods, the department has created a flexible approach that meets the needs of all patients.
