About this Divi

In the cycling test (also called bicycle ergometry or exercise test), a cardiac ultrasound (ECG) is taken while the patient is exercising. This examines whether the heart is getting enough oxygen and whether there are any arrhythmias. With exercise, the heart has to work harder. Therefore, abnormalities can be made more visible. This Divi explains how the examination proceeds and how the patient should prepare for the cycling test. It also explains what happens to the results after the test.
