Tjongerschans bets on hybrid care for all with BeterDichtbij and Indiveo

Hospital Tjongerschans is making great strides with hybrid care at all outpatient clinics. The Friesian hospital is doing this by deploying the national communication service BeterDichtbij together with information platform Indiveo. All outpatients are thus even better guided and informed within their treatment.

Better guidance and accessibility

Like many healthcare organizations, hospital Tjongerschans in Heerenveen wants to improve accessibility for patients. The hospital is doing this by cleverly deploying digital services. "The choice of BeterDichtbij together with Indiveo, was a logical one for us. BeterDichtbij has a lot of experience with digital communication in healthcare, and is of course an initiative from the sector itself. And Indiveo is a specialist in creating understandable information in images and video, so that we can convey our information even better," said Janneke Hofstede-Brink, ICT project leader at the hospital.

Automatic communication at the right time

Based on scheduled appointments, Indiveo's automatic BeterDichtbij messages and videos are now sent at exactly the right time. "This allows us to tailor communication to what a patient needs, and really make care better," Hofstede continued. By using the link between BeterDichtbij and ChipSoft's Care Platform, the hospital can optimally integrate digital communication into the healthcare providers' work process.

Convenience for patients and caregivers

"We are proud that Tjongerschans is so confidently choosing BeterDichtbij together with Indiveo. This is what we do it for: to offer patients more reassurance and convenience in their care process through communication. And that this also saves care providers time and allows care to be better tailored to what is needed is of course fantastic," says Sander Bijl, operational director and co-founder of BeterDichtbij.

Benefits of hybrid care

"From my profession as a pulmonologist, I see daily how patients benefit from easy communication combined with understandable information. This gives them peace of mind, confidence and ownership. As far as I am concerned, these are basic conditions for hybridization of care. After all, if you are going to 'treat' patients more remotely, you will have to give them good tools to do so responsibly. And of course top that it is efficient for both patients and care providers," said Ralph Koppers, co-founder and director of Indiveo.

For residents of Friesland, BeterDichtbij and Indiveo are not unknown. The Antonius hospital in Sneek and Nij Smellinghe in Drachten have been using the services for some time.
