About this Divi

An aneurysm is a localized dilation of a blood vessel. If the dilation becomes too large, the blood vessel can rupture. This is life-threatening. To prevent this, a prosthesis is placed in the aneurysm. Placement of the prosthesis can be done through the artery in the groin. We call this operation the EVAR: this stands for Endo Vascular Aorta Reconstruction.

Here patients get information about the aneurysm and the EVAR.
