Research by Syncasso and Kredietbank Nederland shows that 50% of people in debt have difficulty reading and writing. Lack of text comprehension causes stress and leads to mistakes. This makes low literacy a blockade to solving debts.
Both clients and social workers benefit from the use of Divis. During the pilot phase, the developed Divis were extensively tested by eight municipalities. The evaluation shows that the accessible and clear information gives residents more confidence in debt assistance.
Animations help residents know better what is expected of them and reduce stress. In addition, the information sticks better and residents can revisit the information at a later time. As a result, social workers do not have to repeat information. This saves social workers a lot of time.
