Understandable explanation of a Port-a-Cath at Amphia

A Port-a-Cath or portal catheter requires some explanation. To improve the information for patients around the Port-a-Cath, we developed this Divi together with the Department of Surgery of the, led by Annedit Jas. We asked Annedit how she experienced the development of this Divi.

Can you tell something about how the production started?

"I started collecting different material about the Port-a-Cath. I presented this material to surgeons, radiologists and staff in the outpatient OR. This way they could check whether the images collected corresponded to reality."

"After we delivered the various materials to Margot, the production process began."

"Now we want to increase patient satisfaction with this understandable and visual information, a nice challenge in which we are also guided by Indiveo."

- Annedit Jas, manager of Department of Surgery

How were you mentored during production?

"Margot was very clear about the steps in the production process. She encouraged us to look critically at the first storyboard." (A storyboard is the content storyline as it will be animated).

"During the process you always make choices. In the first phase, a lot can still be adjusted, added or removed, that can (and does) not have to be done later. Based on our feedback, the animation was developed in successive steps into a final product with a voice-over. The Studio team at Indiveo delivered a beautiful product!"

The Department of Surgery at Amphia Hospital in Breda is committed to patient satisfaction.

How did you experience the production process?

"I liked the production process and we were well guided, now we want to increase patient satisfaction with this understandable and visual information, a nice challenge in which we are also guided by Indiveo."
