About this Divi

In people with a Barrett esophagus (Barrett oesophagus), part of the esophagus is lined with different tissue than normal. A Barrett esophagus occurs because the lining of the esophagus is damaged by stomach acid flowing back into the esophagus.

In the Divi Barrett esophagus, patients are explained what a Barrett esophagus is and what the treatments and living rules look like. Because people with Barrett esophagus are more likely to develop esophageal cancer, the Divi also focuses on the checkups that take place to detect any esophageal cancer at an early stage.
