About this Divi
Patients who develop low oxygen levels in their blood during ventilation can be turned on their stomachs. In this way, oxygen uptake can sometimes improve. This is called ventilation in the prone position.
This Divi explains what prone ventilation is and what happens in the lungs when someone is placed on their stomach.
