Internal ultrasound from the esophagus (EUS-FNA) is a combination of endoscopy and ultrasound. It allows the doctor to "view" the area on the outside of the esophagus and the space between the lungs in the chest with an ultrasound and to take tissue through a puncture for additional examination.

In this Divi, the patient is given information about the preparation, aftercare and risks of this examination. Various images are used to explain what the examination entails. This makes the patient well prepared for the examination.
