About this Divi

A gastroscopy is a visual examination of the inside of the esophagus, stomach and first part of the small intestine (the duodenum). Through the mouth, the doctor inserts an endoscope. An endoscope allows the doctor to get a good look at the inside of the esophagus and stomach.

This Divi explains to the patient what a gastroscopy is and how this examination proceeds. In addition to the course of the examination, the patient is also explained about preparation and sobriety rules and aftercare. Sometimes tissue is also taken during the examination. The in-depth information of this Divi explains how the tissue examination proceeds next.
