A number of skin diseases can be treated well with light therapy. Light therapy is done with ultraviolet light, or UV light. The rays in this light inhibit inflammation in the skin. Furthermore, it restores and thickens the top layer of the skin. As a result, the patient suffers less from skin symptoms.
