Kidney diseases (UMCG-MCL).
Nationwide awareness project
The cooperation between MCL and UMCG arose from the national awareness project. With practical examples and tools from the awareness project, AIOS are trained in making effective choices. Of course, all healthcare providers (not just AIOS) must improve their efficiency. You can find more about this initiative on the awareness project website.
Result: information package for kidney patients
Together with physicians in training (AIOS) and medical specialists, 4 Divis have been developed to better inform kidney patients. Divis are pictorial, digital information packs for patients.
By informing patients with Divis, they see only the information that is relevant to them at the time. And if a patient needs to be informed about multiple topics or a care pathway, Divis are simply linked and sent securely.

Who are the Divis for?
Divis are there for patients and sent by healthcare providers. As a result, patients always have reliable information from their health care provider at home. Divis are available to primary care physicians, general practices, wards, hospitals and independent treatment centers. Divis are a full replacement for paper patient folders and support Information & Communication.
Results of informing with Divis
- Visual information with a low threshold and infinitely viewable
- Patients are better informed and understand the issues surrounding kidney injury
- You save time on repetitive expounding of the same information
- Patients are encouraged to take their own direction!
All information has been reviewed by medical specialists. The information was created in cooperation with MCL Leeuwarden and UMCG Groningen.
