About this Divi
An inguinal hernia is a weakness in the abdominal wall. The weakness in the abdominal wall allows the peritoneum and a bowel to come out. It can also be fatty tissue that bulges out. An inguinal hernia never disappears on its own and can cause symptoms. Surgery is often necessary.
In this Divi, the patient is given information about the inguinal hernia. The most common technique for repairing an inguinal hernia is keyhole surgery (laparoscopic inguinal hernia surgery). In some cases, it is chosen to treat the inguinal hernia with open surgery (lichtenstein surgery). Both operations are shown in this divi. In addition, the patient is given information about recovery and possible complications
